This poster does a great job discussing conservatisms- social and cultural- which he better names as a distinction between religious conservatism and civilization conservatism.  A bit dry reading but worth it.

      LOL. Sorry, didn’t really mean that as a negative per se. I thought it was well throught out and reasoned. More scholarly than many blog entries.
