Confused Children TV Ad
The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) has a new ad out that is pretty cute. Unlike their first ad which was scary, scary, scary. But in many respects, this ad is just as devoid of real truth, and uses fear tactics as the primary message. My favorite is the line”
“… created Anna and Eve…”
Like have Marriage Equality proponents EVER expressed an interest in rewriting the Bible? Emphatically, No! But the attempt is to imply that someone’s personal beliefs will be wiped away if same-sex marriage is legal. 2 other things strike me about this ad.
1) Kids are far more accepting than adults of diversity. They have to be taught to hate and discriminate.
2) The closing line: “marriage means a Mom and a Dad.” What’s up with that? so, anyone who is marriage and doesn’t have children is doing something wrong?
