Who Are Tomorrow’s LGBT Leaders?

So, I was thrilled to see a GSA with so many smart, active and courageous young people involved, and exited to think about the role they will play is the struggle for full equality. They will be tomorrow’s leaders, helping to make gains on both the political and social paths.

Update: Cumberland Valley GSA

Last week, I posted about how a school district was slow acting at reinstating a GSA, and what looked like a conservative board member’s attempts to keep the group from being formed. Cumberland Valley School Board Member Equates GSA to Nazis

The school had an active GSA several years ago, but it was disbanded after active members graduated. The move to block reinstatement demonstrate the growing activism of anti-gay force through school board action.

The State of the Blog (was:Group protests Notre Dame)

One of the things I liked about this action was the non-political aspect of it. Our political system isn’t working for gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, and queers. We can’t give up on it entirely- we must stay engaged and work for change within it. but we also need to seek out other avenues for change.
