Colbert’s good polling highlights the fact that Mitt Romney is very weak challenger to President Obama.

Colbert’s high polling suggests something else as well. The American people are fed up with what they view as Washington and the status quo. Many who are not happy with Obama feel that way because they had an expectation that he was going to change the system, and they perceive that he has not, and is simply a part of the system. This may or may not be true, but it is the perception.
