The language of the bill states that LGBTQ persons may not be discriminated against in housing, employment and public accommodations.
What the rest of the LGBTQIA+ community can do is make clear that all trans persons are persons of worth just as they are and that the choices they make are theirs to make with our support.
We do not know that this bomb episode has anything to do with Target’s decision to all all employees and visitors to use the restroom that aligns to their gender expression.
The Allegheny County Bar Association LGBT Rights Committee is offering a program, “Translating Transgender Issues: Understanding the Challenges Faced by Transgender Pennsylvanians” on Thursday, June 9 from 4:00 – 7:00 at the Omni William Penn.
There will be a meeting on Monday evening, where the Pittsburgh School Board will take public comment about a nondiscrimination policy that will help protect trans and gender nonconforming students.
