I emailed Mayor Luke Ravenstahl’s office yesterday to ask if there was an official statement regarding the Mayors for Marriage Equality list. I received the following back from a staff member:

No, there is no official statement. The mayor is considering signing the pledge. He has all the information about it and the pledge itself. He has promised to review everything, think about it, and make a decision shortly.

So, I kept wondering what shortly might mean, and I remembered that the Steel City Stonewall Democrats Endorsement Meeting is coming up soon. What do you think? Would that be a place for the Mayor to announce that he is signing on to the Mayors for Marriage Equality list?  That would make a spash, right? This is pure speculation on my part, but what do you think? Sound plausible? Possible? Useful to his campaign?
