This message was sent out by Equality PA:
Senator Toomey’s offices are open once again, and their call lines are open to hear from folks like you who support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)!
That’s why we are having another day of action this Saturday to show Senator Toomey the tremendous support for ENDA in Pennsylvania.
With no clear federal law prohibiting workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, many lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender workers live with uncertainty and fear about whether they’ll be able to keep a job and care for their families. Americans from all walks of life share the basic value that no one should face discrimination in the workplace, but your senators need to hear that message loud and clear.
This Saturday we will be generating more calls from Pennsylvanian’s into Senator Toomey’s office than ever before.
The time has long-since come to adopt this common-sense legislation and ensure that LGBT people have this most basic of protections under law. But our window of opportunity could close if senators don’t hear from supporters of equality like yourself, so please make the call today and then ask your friends, family members, and neighbors to do the same.
Thanks for all you do,
Ted Martin
