Just a short note this morning to say that all looks well following the elections here in Pittsburgh. But now the real work begins. I have full faith in Bill Peduto and the City Council lineup is also in good shape. But even good people can get sidelined if they can’t break the process problems and people dynamics that have been such a problem.

Now the hard work begins, and there is plenty of it to go around. From building and development issues, to the need to get a police chief hired, there is much to do and some of it needs to be done yesterday. Good thing there are a few months for folks to be doing the prep work so they can take office and get moving quickly.

Congrats to all of the winners and especially Bill Peduto, and Deb Gross who becomes my city council person. Looking forward to seeing how you lead our city forward.
