I’d like to encourage all my Pittsburgh readers to participate in a vigil and march sponsored by the East End Community Ministries. At a time when we see so much violence and attack in the name of religion, it is powerful to see words and actions against the violence, by the community and spearheaded by a religious group. Your participation as an LGBTQI person or ally helps give voice to the need to see all violence and discrimination as unwanted. Your efforts in the vigil place peace, safety, and respect for all as central to efforts against violence and oppression.
