In Pennsylvania, there is a small proportion of residents who are protected from discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations. In all cases where these protections exist, they were achieved by cities, towns and counties introducing legislation. Yet, many people believe falsely, that a person can not be fired simply for being perceived as gay or lesbian in Pennsylvania. Not the case in most of the state.

Efforts have been underway for a while to change that and introduce state-wide protections, and this year the PA legislation being introduced is called HB 300 and SB 300. Groups such as Equality PA and the ACLU of PA are working hard to get this legislation to move forward, but for that to happen, everyone has to kick in to get it done.  To support this effort, thomascwaters.com will be launching a new project called PA HB&SB 300. This page will identify the project and the ways you can help.
