There has been so much talk about the GOP War on Women but it has mostly revolved around Abortion Rights. But there are other aspects to it too. Ann Romney painted herself as a strong woman whose role is to be a supportive wife. Michelle as well as Jill Biden projected a very different persona.
These are the methods of organizing people within which they believe they have power. Therefore, their every effort is devoted to protecting these two structures. This is why a fight for LGBT Rights is a moral fight for them, and winning over LGBT Rights is more important than anything else. It is bigger than abortion; bigger than women’s rights; bigger than anything, because no issue touches the family and the church as much as the acceptance of gay people-at least from their perspective.
Saw this on Truth Wins Out, and thought it was very worth sharing: Think about where Romney and the GOP’s stance on basic rights and freedoms differ from Obama, and then you can see that we must re-elect the President to see our progress continue.

She also connects the two sides of Marriage together in a wonderful way.

(and I believe it is)
In the mean time, there is plenty of work that needs to be done. One of the reasons this seems so controversial is that most people don’t understand transgender or the issues trans persons face on a daily basis.
