Yes, certainly trans and queer persons of color (TQPOC) are out front, giving voice to their outrage, but with them stand many from all parts of the rainbow coalition that we call the LGBTQIA community.
In some regard, the issue was always about two things: (1) The Delta Foundation itself as well as (2) their choice of Iggy Azalea.

But underneath that is a longstanding and very justified frustration with an organization run mostly by a few white persons (including Bryan) which makes itself out to appear like the all- powerful wizard.
One of the single most important things that ought to grow from this protest is for people to come understand what is happening and why. We have to hear and grasp the motivations and underlying feelings if we are to move ahead and affect change that makes what comes better and more inclusive than what has been.
It isn’t a new criticism for Delta– that persons of color are overlooked and/or ignored. But to some, this latest effort feels like a slap in the face. Does Delta deserve the criticism?
