Rally, concert, parade part of gay pride festival

Here’s an article from today’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for you to check it. Sara Bauknecht touches on many of  the various parts of the entire Pride week events, but there is a real focus on this Friday’s Advocacy Rally. “It’s a great time for people to come together,” said Cleve Jones, a national human rights activist and AIDS Memorial Quilt founder who grew up in Mt. Not only are players coming out, but teams, and the structure of professional sports is making progress at demonstrating a lack of tolerance for intolerance, like with this story. Sports won’t become fully safe for LGBT athletes anytime soon, but these are all steps forward.

Who will win battle for GOP soul and How Will Progressives Succeed?

All the compromise does is repeal DADT, and return the military to the pre-DADT conditions where gays and lesbians were not permitted to serve.

Corbett’s Lead Due to Name Recognition

Polls are important for a number of reasons, but when we start to act based only on the polls, we fail Democracy/democratic system. Now that the primary is over, it is time to stop exclusively following poll results and begin to look at the actual candidates hoping to be the next Pennsylvania governor. Rasmussen said Corbett’s name recognition is one of the main reasons he has a large lead. Corbett leads rival Dan Onorato 49[Read More…]
