I saw this on Change.org. It is a very powerful story.  Over the course of this week, one of the things I want to write about is the issue of Marriage Equality, and the strategies and ideas about the Marriage Equality movement. On the one hand, I think marriage equality eclipses all other LGBT issues, and this actually sets our overall movement backwards. But at the same time, many many gay and lesbian people are in relationships and raising families and so the number of people dramatically affected by this part of the civil rights battle is enormous. If we fail to help and protect our growing families and our children, we also set our overall movement back. So, if I seem to be on both sides of this issue , in some ways I am. I’m hoping that a series of posts may sort some of these ideas out.
