One of the best holiday parties this December is also a fundraiser for one of the best Pittsburgh LGBT events, and I hope we will see you there!

Spark, is a fundraiser for the Delta Foundation’s Pittsburgh Pride, one of Delta’s three projects. While some people express to me that they think Pride must make tons of money, the reality is that Pride costs a tons of money, and Spark is one way you can help make sure that Pride is a great event for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, and Queer communities of Western Pennsylvania. I’m excited about Spark, because last year it was a sensational event and I had a blast. But this year’s entertainment has me really excited! Martha Wash, of the Weather Girl’s fame will be our star entertainer. Here is the description:

It’s Spark…..the hottest party of the season! Come hear the Queen of Club Land Martha Wash perform three decades of dance anthems in one show including the 1982 hit song “It’s Raining Men.” That song, by The Weather Girls, was #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart and twenty-eight years later continues to be one of the classic songs of the late-disco and Hi-NRG era.

Her other R&B dance hits include Black Box’s top-ten smashes “Everybody Everybody” and “Strike It Up”, and C+C Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” which hit #1 on the Billboard hot 100 in 1991.

Tickets are $65 in advance; $80 at the door and includes complimentary drinks and appetizers all evening long, the concert, and other holiday fun! The $115 ticket for the show includes a Surprise Gift Box which has a retail value of $50…or higher!! This is an 18+ event / 21+ to drink!

All proceeds benefit 2011 Pittsburgh Pride.

If you are interested in tickets, drop me an email, or check out the website and buy on-line.
