perhaps we have achieved little when the media doesn’t know how to talk about an interesting, and complicated Science story without trying to make it all about Homosexuality, as if that is some monolithic catchall that covers everything not straight. And the differences between Gender, SEx, Sexual Orientation, and Gender Roles remain as undifferentiated as before.

he anti-gay groups would have you believe that loving same-sex couples, many who have been together for many years are trying to destroy “the Traditional Family.” But in reality, love makes a family, not the gender of the parents. This didn’t happen because these people are straight, but those who truly care about preserving “The Family” as a social unit, need to turn their attention to those things that truly destroy families, and that wouldn’t be same-sex marriage.
But we need to open our eyes- everyone on the progressive side of things and recognize just what we are up against, and then work together to combat it. A president whose ideas on gay marriage are evolving isn’t the real enemy. Those who seek to make God bigger- that’s the real enemy here.
