“Vlogtober” is a series of You Tube videos inbspired by another youtuber I subscribe to, who was posting a video for everyday of the month of October. So I decided to try and do the same.

Today’s Vlogtober video is about President Obama honoring Jaice Langbehn  with the Presidential Citizens Medal, next Thursday. I’m placing 2 videos in this post as well as some links below. The first is my Vlogtober post video, and the second is Janice’s speech at the GLAAD media awards. Janice’s story is powerful, and she is so amazing as she tells it. THis is why she is such a hero, in my opinion.

Many within the LGBT community bash the President as havig not done enough for LGBT Rights, yetthey fail to recognize so much of what the President has done. Last January, changes to Federal policy went into place such that no hospital that receives Federal Medicare and Medicaid funds can discriminate against gay and lesbian couples. This policy change through the Department of Health and Human Services is huge, and does more to affect the real every day lives of gay and lesbian couples than most all of the big trendy issues where people complain about tge President. This is real change that impacts real lives.
