Equality PA has announced a push for co-sponsors for HB and SB 300. Both bills are LGBT non-discrimination legislation for Pennsylvania. To support this effort to add co-sponsors, thomascwaters.com is launching a project and seeking a person to help manage the project. The time commitment for this project will be a minimum of 4 hours per week, but an individual is welcome to put as many hours into it as they wish. The project duration will be 8 weeks with an ability to continue it afterwards.
Experience with using Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube) desired. Applicant must have a computer with Internet access. Applicant should have experience creating, or a willingness to learn to use Power Point or/or other presentation software. Experience with Issue Advocacy preferred.
This is a perfect project for anyone seeking to add issue advocacy work to their resume or experiences. It is a well defined project with specific goals and enough flexibility for someone who is highly motivated to make this project be a huge success.
The person selected will set their own schedule and can work whenever they want as long as our goals are being met. There will be a 30-60 min meeting or conference call once per week as well. The individual will be working predominately on their own unless they recruit other volunteers.
To apply please send a resume or letter of interest to thomaswaters@mac.com.
I’m happy to answer any questions as well.
Expected start date: ASAP
