Received via email this morning- statement from Pittsburgh Councilman Dan Gilman:

Pittsburgh, PA–This morning, City Councilman Dan Gilman issued the following statement:

“The importance of inclusion and of recognizing those at most risk cannot be overstated. While the LGBTQ community has certainly made great strides in recent years, there are still large segments of the community who face extreme prejudice and live in fear every single day. We must be welcoming and inclusive to everyone. There should be no place for nor tolerance of discrimination and exclusion—not in the community, not in government, and not in entertainment. It is my hope that in the coming weeks, we can all sit down together and begin to heal the wounds that have been created with an open dialogue around productive solutions and a better, more thoughtful and inclusive way forward.”
