the PA Voter Coalition are organizing volunteers to serve as election protection monitors. The coalition has developed a list of over 50 voting precincts where problems may occur, however because of the confusion surrounding the Voter ID law, almost any polling place could experience issues.

Many young folks Joe’s age simply get caught up in the club scene, yet Joe was truly a mover and a shaker. He was smart, pleasant, handsome, successful and a real inspiration. As a Facebook friend, I sometines noticed whatever was going on for him, and often something he would post would touch me deeply. In that indirect way, he always reminded me to continue to try and do my part to make the world a better place. I valued his openness and honesty, and I will surely miss him.
The biggest issue for the fallacy of a third party candidate during a presidential election is the failure to remember, that we the people don’t really elect our president. The Electoral College does that, and for a third party candidate to get enoug votes to win the college is, well… Impossible. If anyone wants to argue with that, feel free. I’ll happily read your rationale. And I’ll admit I’m wrong, if I am. But I’m not.
So, we too often fail to recognize our similarity with the average Union worker, and turn a blind eye to the way they are still fighting for full equality and fairness. Like women, immigrants and minorities, laborers have been under fierce attack too. Surprisingly the tactics used to steal fairness from workers are the same as those used to deny us full equality.
Today marks my official resignation from the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh Board of Directors. There is only one way to understand how some could refuse a woman the right to make choices about her own body, especially in a case of rape. That is to see the woman’s only value and role in life is to have a full uterus, no matter who the father of the fetus may be. The only thing of importance is that there is a fetus. This mindset isn’t that big of a stretch where, over history, a woman has been considered property much like a slave. Not really like a slave, but an actual slave since the woman was understood to be the property of the husband
