In other words, two of the least most influential Senators may have crafted a real bipartisan bill that Harry Reid and the White House can support. Something neither Mr. “Bi-Partisan” President nor the majority party could do.
Anyone who grows up as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender has some response like that I believe. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Some people more and sometimes less. Our culture has taught us that, and some in the culture continue to push that lesson.

It the importance and weight of the Souther Poverty Law Project’s pronouncement is to mean anything and have any affect, we have to be willing to draw a clear delineation between hate speech and anti-gay speech. It may be true that most often they are the same thing, but the distinction allows for Free Speech and the requirement for dialogue to be filled with facts and the truth.
