Equal, was never intended to be journalism, but rather a marketing piece for a sole non-profit organization.
For me, few activists are as inspirational as Bayard Rustin, and I believe todays LGBTQ movement, must look towards individuals such as Rustin, if we are going to successfully navigate the next steps towards real respect, and equality.
However, they all serve as inspiration to me, to keep doing what I do. If they could be so inspirational and motivating facing such oppression and invisibility within either the African-american community, the LGBT community or both, then why would I see the little struggles I face as a hindrance to demanding change?

This breakfast follows the announcement that all four Episcopal Bishops of Pennsylvania endorsed legislation to update PA’s discrimination laws to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Marriage Equality is all about the right to Civil Marriage and has nothing to do with the religious rite of marriage or the actions of religious institutions.
Everyone, regardless of your HIV status can take steps that help stop the spread of HIV. In that regard, your status is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is doing your part to stop the spread of HIV.
The real change over the next 8 years will come because of a push within the Congress, working in conjunction with the President to move the country forward.
