In families; neighborhoods; schools; businesses; organizations; churches; clubs; towns; and in any way in which we organize people- there is someone, not wanting to be the first to speak up, and today, I wonder- will you follow Collins lead and stop waiting for it to be someone else, and have it be you?

Last night, Lawrenceville, already overrun by hipsters welcomed every other creative loving person and anyone else out for a free good time. This was the 16th annual event, and you may not know it but I helped design the very first Art All Night poster. I often see a few things that really rock my art world, but this year not so much. Still it was a tremendous and fun event. I especially love standing[Read More…]
Breaking News: ACLU Warns High School Principal Who Removed Transgender Pennsylvania Student from Prom King Ballot
Schools should be fostering an inclusive environment where all students are allowed to be themselves instead of needlessly making students feel stigmatized for being who they are.
Last month, I wrote about seeing Thurgood at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, and this week, I’ll be seeing Clybourne Park and writing about it too. The two shows are utterly different, and I’m looking forward to seeing what I will find to say. One of the great advantages to living here in Pittsburgh, in my opinion, is the plethora of Arts activities and opportunities that exist. A very true sentiment, even if his word choice[Read More…]
I’ve linked to Davev Wavey before, but it has been a long time. If you don’t follow his You Tube channel, you are missing a gem. Check him out! What I appreciate most about him, is his playfulness, and his perspective towards gay people loving and accepting themselves. He’s pretty easy to look at too. But I’m linking to this video today, because I love the interaction between these two guys- one straight and one[Read More…]
They want to paint their marriage as greater than our marriage. Theirs as real and ours as fake. Why do they need to do this? Because they know they have lost the battle for Marriage, and the only recourse they have now is to try and promote a segregationist type supremacy.
Note added 4/16/2013: As per some other websites, the photo I selected is actually quite fitting for ths blog, as it contains an out gay police officer. I chose the photo not knowing, because I thought it was especially striking as an image. I saw the first reports of the bombings at the Boston Marathon as a waited for my bus home from work today, and as I sat this evening, writing for this blog,[Read More…]
