The Dignity and Respect Pledge is a tool towards creating a different paradigm where the goal is for everyone to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Our focus as LGBTQ Equality advocates can be on finding fault with others (who often act atrociously), or actively and cooperatively building a different respect framework within our friends, our communities, our organizations, our cities and eventually the world.
Passing non-discrimination protections simply helps create an environment with less fear in the work place which means happier and more successful workers and more successful businesses. That’s a win-win for everyone.
I fully support independent filmmaking as a powerful tool in telling LGBTQ stories and I’m happy to sign on as a supporter of this film. With a little over a week to go, the film needs your help to meet the fundraising goal.
