I first heard Jeremiah a number of years ago, and I’ve always been blown away by the passion that fills his songs and music. Jeremiah puts his whole self out there on the stage, and that leads to a wonderful experience for any audience member.
Rosenberg names these efforts advocating for queer characters as not being meaningful political activism, and she may be right there. I’d argue that they are valuable cultural activism.
The two ways to threaten progress for LGBTQ Rights is to allow Trump to be elected, or to take votes away from Clinton and diminish the size of her lead, thus impacting the ability to win back the Senate and the House.
Can “Queer” remain a meaningful descripor for the diverse and inclusive rainbow community? Or is the term and idea lst its subversive quality?
