Calling my husband, “husband.”
For me, one of the smallest results of the recent Supreme Court marriage equality decision, is that I’ve started to refer to my husband in conversations, as “husband.” We had been together for 15 years prior to getting married, and married for about a year when the decision came down earlier this summer.
