More focus and attention needs to go to our GLBT youth. The changing attitudes about gays and lesbians in general is creating an environment where kids are coming to terms with their sexuality earlier, and they need support.
Since the moment, I received a text last evening that the House had approved the Health Care Reform  bills, I’ve been pondering what to write about it. The linked blog post on the Huffington post was actually about Health Care Reform, and is a good read on that subject, but a photo on the post really captured my attention, and prompted me to step back and think about the bigger picture.
I think we are entering a new phase of LGBT activism where actions such as these, and greater acts of Civil Disobedience will become more and more commonplace. I think it is both inevitable and necessary. LGBT’s need to rise up and say enough is enough- the time for equality is now.
There are no real plausible reasons to support the second class citizenship of LGBTs in the US anymore. It is time for the march for greater equality to continue to move forward.
Can we use any momentum built in the fight against SB707 to move any of these other bills now?
Not only is it a lie (and don’t these religious types know that bearing false witness is a sin?) but it misses the point entirely.
Everyday across our country, there are individuals who face losing their job simply because they are LGBT. Everyday, there are individuals who are not hired because someone assumes they might be LGBT, even if they are not.

What percentage of youth enter college and are therefor included in this poll? Does this difference represent a regional, economic or cultural divide? I wonder about this because at the same time as we see support among college freshmen rising, experts also claim that there are growing levels of bullying of youth happening in high schools and even earlier education.
