Pride: Pittsburgh will have celebrated, danced, marched, networked, and there was probably some other fun stuff in there too. We are now just another part of the rich tapestry of neighborhoods and people that make up what we call Western PA. Not only is Pittsburgh used to us, but they embrace us and love us and want to show off their pride in us, and pride in the way we are an integral part of the whole.
I left the theater and the first thing that came to my mind was that I had to call my father and tell him that I loved him. That was the very farthest thing from what I thought this show would do for me. But there is was. Indeed, I left the show wondering if politics is just a tool we use to distance ourselves and make ourselves safe from vulnerability? Of course politics is more than that, but is that how we use it?
Harrisburg – Following a meeting with Equality Pennsylvania President, Adrian Shanker, and a delegation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) leaders in the 15th Congressional District, Congressman Charlie Dent (R-PA-15) has agreed to become the latest co-sponsor of the Safe-Schools Improvement Act. A number of folks in Pittsburgh complain that the Delta board is made upon men with their own personal agendas. Events like this only add fuel to that fire. What are their real motives? I don’t know, only the Delta Board knows.
Not everyone agrees with her, about Roe v Wade, and don’t see a similarity to.these cases now. No matter how the Court decides these two cases, it will raise new and complicated questions. In other words, these cases, and the decisions are not the end of this issue,but in many ways a new beginning. One piece of the journey towards full equality complete and the next piece begun.
Synopsis of the cases and what the Court will be deciding regarding marriage equality. … the reality is that the Court doesn’t grant rights. The court may rule that a law is unconstitutional, and thereby remove the law which was denying people rights. Laws create and limit rights. Courts determine if those laws are constitutional or not, and the US Supreme Court decides if lower courts have made correct or incorrect decision regarding the constitutionality of a law.

These efforts- gathering news in social Media and discerning content are often conflicting efforts, as social media is a space where commentary and editorial rule, and facts and journalism can be sparse.
