CIS, Trans, or Non-binary, Aren’t We All the Same Queer?

CIS, Trans, or Non-binary, Aren’t We All the Same Queer?

How You Can Help Convict tRump

But a handwritten letter, is unique in today’s culture. Few people do that. Senior staff, and possibly the senator themselves will read it for sure, because it is so unique.

Pride 2020: A Month of Pride

Pride 2020: A Month of Pride

This past weekend kinda kicked off the annual extravaganza, many LGBTQIA persons prefer to simply as Pride. In June ofd every year we remember and celebrate. We are remembering our history, and the role that a skirmish between the NYC Police and a ragtag mix of queer persons had in shaping the modern queer rights movement. Some will say, it all began with Pride (meaning Stonewall) and others will say, Pride started as a riot,[Read More…]

The Kevin Hart Controversy

The Kevin Hart Controversy

Every one of us- gay, straight, bi, pansexual, asexual- have internalized homophobia. Because we grew up in a culture that condemns queer people of all stripes. We all learned to hate the queers. We also all share some implicit biases, and often against black men. And for those black men there is an intersectionality to the way all of these isms and messages both came at them, and became a part of their identity. Few of us can know what it is like to be in Hart’s shoes now, or when he made the jokes and stuff, or his life experience before that.
