The US has taken a bold position, opposing LGBT discrimination across the globe, spearheaded mostly by Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. How are those efforts impacted is a Secretary of Defense is seen as anti-gay?
The Advocate’s top 10 news stories for 2012 has been published, and I thought it would be interesting to see which if any, I have written about and, and in hindsight, would I have written anything differently.
A controversy surrounding trans accommodations made my top 12 list of posts at #5 and #2. Not only is it the most important local story, but the basic issues of trans accommodations will grow into one of the mot significant queer issues nationally, and could mean the end of the LGBT moniker. As gays and lesbians get closer to full equality, they seem poised to leave the Trans community behind as issues of sex, gender,and public privacy collide.
Every year I look back over the content I have written and look to see which posts grab the most attention. I’d like to mention the 12 posts that received the most number of hits.
