GetEqual Looking for State Leaders

GetEqual Looking for State Leaders

Saw this on Facebook: Nearly one year later – these words could not ring much truer – “Hope 2.0 is about using the lessons of Dr. King to create the conditions that give them no other choice.” GetEQUAL is looking for people willing to play a “State Lead” role in our 2011 campaign – if you’d like to be actively involved in our next steps – email: INFO@GetEQUAL.org Some within the LGBT movement see GetEqual[Read More…]

Pennsylvania – LGBT bills die with end of state session

My fear is that Republican leadership in both the House and the Senate won’t allow any pro-LGBT legislation to be introduced or out of committee, leaving it DOA from the get go. Time will tell.

Cindy McCain: The Power of the Bigotry

For anyone following most every LGBT Rights story, it is a roller coaster of ups and downs. Unfortunately the “downs” seem to outnumber the “ups” most times. The Beginning of the End of Democracy

Dan DeMarco: Write-In Candidate Against Jane Orie

Note: @npghprogressive sent me a message via Twitter after I posted this to inform me that Dan DeMarco is not a write-in candidate, but actually on the ballot. The 2 Political Junkies post has been revised, and if my post was misleading, I apologize for the inconvenience. Maria, over at 2 Political Junkies has a great post about Dan DeMarco who is running in the PA Senate’s 40th district against the criminally indicted incumbent, Jane[Read More…]

Tom Corbett’s Future for a Theocratic PA?

However, he has now demonstrated a part of his real agenda which could not be more anti-LGBT by filing a brief in the California Prop 8 case. To be clear, the Prop 8 case, by everyone’s estimation wouldn’t have any bearing on Pennsylvania directly.
