A second vigil is being held in Pittsburgh to remember the many lost and harmed in the Orlando massacre that occurred so early Sunday morning. We do not know that this bomb episode has anything to do with Target’s decision to all all employees and visitors to use the restroom that aligns to their gender expression.
The Allegheny County Bar Association LGBT Rights Committee is offering a program, “Translating Transgender Issues: Understanding the Challenges Faced by Transgender Pennsylvanians” on Thursday, June 9 from 4:00 – 7:00 at the Omni William Penn.
But is drug development more controlled by what will impact their profit margin? Of course, drug companies like any businesses have a right to make profits, but how many billions is enough? And why aren’t HIV/AIDS activists speaking out against such profit hogging?
The downside is that we are placing a lot of power in the hands of a single drug company, and I think we can be sure that decisions being made serve their financial bottom line far more than they serve the common good.
I’m not really in favor of supporting a 3rd party candidate. The chances of them getting enough votes to win is worse than your chances of winning the lottery.
Aside from the drama aspect, the questions raised by this episode are interesting. What is the role of gay bars/clubs today?
On Memorial Day, we remember and honor our service members past and present. We acknowledge their commitment and sacrifice and service. If we are open to seeing these men and women as full human beings, we must remember that their relationships matter too.
