Website Changes

thomascwaters.com is moving to a new server! That means that there may be some downtime when the site is not available, however it will return soon. Everything will remain the same from a user’s perspective, but the site will be on a faster server with better bandwidth, so the readers experience should be improved. The Destruction of “The Traditional Family”

he anti-gay groups would have you believe that loving same-sex couples, many who have been together for many years are trying to destroy “the Traditional Family.” But in reality, love makes a family, not the gender of the parents. This didn’t happen because these people are straight, but those who truly care about preserving “The Family” as a social unit, need to turn their attention to those things that truly destroy families, and that wouldn’t be same-sex marriage.

The Religious Battle is Bigger than LGBT

The Religious Battle is Bigger than LGBT

But we need to open our eyes- everyone on the progressive side of things and recognize just what we are up against, and then work together to combat it. A president whose ideas on gay marriage are evolving isn’t the real enemy. Those who seek to make God bigger- that’s the real enemy here.

Fred Karger, who I heard interviewed on Gay USA some weeks ago is an openly gay man no less, and he just won the New Hampshire straw poll. Some 208 of the 322 Republicans who voted 208 described their views as “moderate” or “conservative.” More than[Read More…]

Evan Wolfson and Freedom to Marry

Marriage is above all, a legal issue, and has been for a very long time. The State issues a marriage license, not a church. Under the law all citizens deserve to be treated fairly and equally unless good reason can be shown otherwise. Despite the way that the anti-gay groups complain, no cogent, realistic, meaningful, or rational case can be made for stopping loving committed same-sex couples from marrying.
