Protecting LGBT Pennsylvanians in housing and employment isn’t controversial. 78% of people across the Keystone State believe that the laws of our state should protect all hardworking people from discrimination. Pennsylvanians are ready for the laws of our state to match our values.
Will the Orlando massacre prompt changes for Pride here and elsewhere? That is the question that should be central and replace old resentments about Delta and Pride. What has happened in the past is the past, but we live in a different world post the loss of these 49 mostly young queer persons of color.

What the rest of the LGBTQIA+ community can do is make clear that all trans persons are persons of worth just as they are and that the choices they make are theirs to make with our support.

PA is promoting a rally/day in Harrisburg on June 22nd. We must see full and inclusive protections that cover all LGBTQ Pennsylvanians, and anything less isn’t enough!
